I have more than twenty years of experience building web and enterprise applications, including public-facing data visualizations, a platform for monitoring commercial water systems, and high-volume consumer fulfillment systems. I hold a BS in Computer Science, and my recent work has focused on PHP, JavaScript, and Java.

Selected work

Contract applications built at iComponent from 2010-2019. Spring Boot was the backend of voice and I worked directly in the Java codebases, modifying endpoints and response structures to support front-end requirements.

Idexx Infectious Disease Map

Public data visualization

A public application mapping the prevalence of tick and mosquito-borne diseases across the United States. I built the interactive choropleth map with national-to-county drill-down, filters for location, species, disease type, and date range, along with a panel that generated insights from the underlying data.

Symmons Evolution Water Management Platform

Multi-tenant IoT monitoring

A multi-tenant application for monitoring commercial water systems through networked IoT sensors. I built the Health Center issue management module, a named feature that manages issues through possible, verified, resolved, and archived states. The module includes a workflow board, card and list views, modal detail and editing dialogs, and administration screens for managing the underlying data.

Voice-first eldercare

The caregiver portal for a voice-first eldercare platform. I built routine scheduling for reminders, check-ins and voice services, branching voice-prompt configuration across no-reply, positive, negative and unrecognized-response paths, nested follow-up forms, care team management, and responsive mobile layouts.

Samsung Ultimate Test Drive

Trial fulfillment

A fulfillment system for a national device-trial program running across all four major U.S. carriers. I built carrier and device selection, multi-step registration with validation, payment capture with authorization for conditional return and damage charges, and delivery scheduling.

Current projects

  • DMARC report processor Domain owners receive DMARC aggregate reports that nobody has time to open, so I built a Python service that pulls them from a Gmail inbox, extracts and scans them, sends them to an analysis system, and reminders the results on a dashboard.
  • Swim team practice and meet tracker Swimmers' events, swims, strokes, and personal records often live in paper notebooks and scattered spreadsheets. I'm building an application that keeps a season's worth of swim data in one place.
  • Project management tool Small teams often end up managing sprints in one tool, client billing in another, and time tracking in a third. I'm building an application that brings all three together in one place.
